Committee Descriptions
Alumni Committee: The Alumni Committee supports the AALAC Board Alumni Representative/Committee Co-chair in fostering an active, connected, and engaged alumni network. The committee works collectively to enhance relationships among alumni, strengthen their involvement with the Academy, and create meaningful opportunities for professional and social engagement. Evaluation Committee: The Evaluation Committee is responsible for assessing and enhancing the effectiveness, impact, and governance practices of the organization’s programs. The committee monitors program outcomes, reviews performance metrics, and provides recommendations to ensure strategic alignment with organizational goals. Through regular evaluations and continuous improvement efforts, the committee helps strengthen accountability, transparency, and overall program success.
Finance Committee: The Finance Committee provides ongoing financial oversight to ensure the organization’s fiscal integrity and accountability. The committee reviews financial reports, monitors budgets, and assesses financial policies and practices to support transparency and sound stewardship of resources. By offering analysis and guidance, the committee assists the board in making informed financial decisions that sustain the organization’s mission and operational effectiveness.
Fundraising Committee: The Fundraising Committee is responsible for planning, managing, and implementing fundraising strategies to ensure the organization’s ongoing financial health. The committee oversees revenue generation, monitors financial performance, and identifies opportunities to strengthen financial sustainability. By aligning fundraising initiatives with the organization’s mission and programs, the committee plays a key role in securing the resources needed to support long-term growth and impact.
Selection Committee: The Selection Committee is responsible for reviewing applications, establishing selection criteria, and identifying candidates for the next program cohort. The committee ensures a fair, consistent, and transparent selection process aligned with the organization’s mission and values. By carefully evaluating applicant qualifications and potential, the committee helps build strong, diverse cohorts that contribute to the program’s overall success.
